Trip to Tenerife (Days 6 – 8)

Day 6

On the sixth day, we decided to explore El Teide National Park. El Teide is the largest volcano on the island, and you can see it as soon as you take off and land on the island. The park is on the UNESCO list and even has an observatory.

That day we drove around aimlessly, enjoying the beauty of the park that nature offers. Since I don’t have much to say here, I’ll attach a gallery of pictures to help you imagine.

In the evening, we saw the sunset on Red Mountain, which we had already been to on the first day. The view and the sunset were truly divine, as we caught it at just the right moment.

Day 7

On the last day before departure, we went to see the sunrise under the El Teide volcano. We woke up very early in the morning and drove about an hour to our point of entry. We experienced a nice view there since we arrived in complete darkness. Slowly it started to get dark and the sky turned into a very beautiful palette of different colors. We stayed there until 9 o’clock and then slowly returned to our apartment.

We spent the rest of the day in the apartment and took advantage of the last day by the pool and the sea, as there was no wind.

In the evening we went to a neighboring town, where we tried paella for the first time, which is a traditional dish. It was surprisingly good, but the portions were a little small for our taste.

Day 8

On the day of departure, we packed all our things and went to El Medana to buy souvenirs, since we didn’t have time or we didn’t take it to buy something for our loved ones. Then we drove to return the car. From there, they took us to the airport.

We waited a little longer for the plane there, as the flight was rescheduled. Everything else went smoothly, so we arrived in Slovenia around midnight, and then…

…but almost all of us started work upstairs already in the morning, so we went home to shower, get our things for work, and go to work. This is how our trip ended 😊

Dan 6
