Switzerland and Liechtenstein
After two days, we went to our third country on this vacation. We booked two nights near Interlaken, specifically in Beatenberg. We were slightly disappointed with this apartment as it didn’t have many sockets, no fridge, and so on. It was quite old-fashioned compared to the others. We had a bit of a problem because Switzerland is not in the European Union and we had no data, no network, and so on; it was quite interesting. On the first day, we went to the Staubbach waterfall, which is very famous, but it did not convince me. The landscape is beautiful, the houses are beautiful. Maybe it was to blame that it was preparing for rain. We walked through the towns along the way, looked at them, and admired the uniqueness of these small mountain towns.
The following day, we embarked on a hike close to the apartment. The trail proved to be quite demanding; with strong winds at the summits, we needed to tread cautiously. Along the way, we encountered cows in the fields, got caught in the rain, and came across several stunning lakes. This encapsulates our hiking experience. Attached are some photos for a visual representation.
In the evening we went to the lovely little town of Iseltwald. We walked through it, took pictures, and enjoyed the views, including the beautiful sunset.
After spending two nights, we proceeded with our travels to Richterswil as we had reserved accommodation there. It took us 2 hours to travel from Interlaken to the apartment. Our reason for going there was my desire to visit Stoos the following day. During the evening, we strolled through Richterswil and the nearby town of Wädenswil, relishing the sights of both locations.
On the tenth day of my trip, I decided to visit the famous Stoos. Perhaps you are familiar with it. There is a popular route that can be accessed most quickly by taking the train to the upper sports center. The ticket to reach there, which includes the chairlift, costs 25 euros for a single day. The train ride up is quite fascinating. After arriving, we geared up and started our journey on foot. Instead of taking the chairlift, we opted to walk, which meant hiking for about an hour to reach the top station of the chairlift. The ascent was challenging at times, but I successfully managed to conquer it.
Upon reaching the paths and steps on the peaks, the enjoyment began. The scenery resembles a miniature “Great Wall of China” due to the abundance of stairs and people. The trail is not overly challenging, spanning just over 2 km, making it suitable for families. However, it is not recommended for strollers due to the numerous steps. The panoramic views are stunning, and I relished in the beauty of nature. As we visited during the summer months, the trail was quite busy. During our hike, we encountered an American woman who is currently working in Germany. Despite the slightly cloudy weather, it held up well, resulting in a very pleasant hike.
Upon reaching the valley, we proceeded to the Staübifall waterfall, which lived up to our expectations. The parking area is approximately 2 km away from the waterfall, and from there, you can follow a well-maintained, simple trail leading to the village where the waterfall is situated. As we were walking for about 20 minutes, K suddenly realized that she had forgotten the camera equipment. What was our response? We turned back, retraced our steps to the car, retrieved the equipment, and resumed our journey. Upon reaching the village, we were rewarded with a breathtaking sight. The waterfall was magnificent, the village charming, and even a rainbow added to the natural beauty that captivated us. We spent 2 hours there, immersing ourselves in nature and, of course, capturing it all on camera. On our way to our accommodation in St. Gallen, we made a pit stop in Gallen for pizza, as we were feeling hungry.
Liechtenstein
During the final day of our journey, we discovered St. Gallen and then proceeded leisurely to our ultimate destination, Liechtenstein. This tiny landlocked country shares borders with Austria and Switzerland. K, who had never visited before, was captivated by the architecture, cars, and unique license plates. We strolled around the city, explored the local settlements, enjoyed some refreshments, captured moments with photographs, purchased souvenirs, and eventually began our journey back home.

Dve nočitvi in že sva nadaljevali najino pot naprej do Richterswila, ker sva imeli rezervirano nočitev.
Deseti dan sem torej jaz izbirala destinacijo in izbrala sem znamenite Stoos.
Razgledi so res perfektni in zelo sem uživala v vsem, kar narava ponuja.
Kaj sva naredili? Tam sva ostali kar 2 uri in opazovali naravo in seveda slikali vse skupaj.
In domov sva prinesli veliko spominov.
